CHILDREN'S PARTIES

When you book me for your birthday party, you can expect a lot of energy and laughter! Your birthday boy or girl is the Star of the Show and its my absolute priority to make sure they have a great day! They are invited to join me if they want to and can help with my magic. Their friends will be amazed! I have such a lot of fun myself and its great to hear the response of a room full of boys and girls enjoying themselves. I can perform for part of your party or make the entire event stress free for you by running the whole party. Then you get to relax and enjoy the show too! You want your child to take away special memories of their birthday so its important to book a professional, experienced performer and not a part-timer. WEDDINGS & CELEBRATIONS

Weddings can seem a very long boring process for young children and they can understandably become fidgety and bored. Thats where I can help. I can perform for your young guests in an adjoining room so you can get on with speeches etc undisturbed. You can concentrate on enjoying your special day.

I can also perform close-up table magic for the adults or mix and mingle during pre-reception drinks.

SCHOOL PARTIES

I do so many shows for schools. I’m very experienced and am invited back time and time again to the same schools. 90% of my work at Christmas is taken up with performing at Pre-Schools. As these children are so small, I can provide a 30 minute, 45 minute or one hour show depending on your requirements.

I will often do 3 sessions at a school in one day. Typically, I will perform a show for the Infants and a separate show for the Juniors. For the younger children, I could do a Magic Show and increase that to a Magic Show plus Disco for the older children or even just a Disco for the Juniors.

Another popular option is my Magic Workshop. This is geared towards older children and is a fun filled session – usually 30 minutes to an hour – where they can learn some magic tricks, juggling and balloon modelling to impress their friends.

Your show was brilliant and really impressed us. The kids thought it was fantastic too. Start to finish was terrific. Sitting down to have tea with them at the end was a lovely touch and one that I know impressed the other parents. The fact you were not in a rush to start, or go straight away when finished was really nice too. Thank you again for a great show!

Malcolm’s Children’s Magic Show

My 45 minute/one hour magic show is ideal for all ages. The show is a great length if you have very young children with a smaller attention span or if you have other plans during your party, such as a face painter or games of your own. I can perform at any point in your party so whatever fits in with you is fine with me. The show has lots of audience participation with the children really getting involved and interactive. Lets not forget the great magic, of course! I perform lots of funny and amazing tricks which the birthday boy or girl can come and help me with. The show contains balloon modelling, lots of colour and non-stop fun and laughter to keep children of all ages enthralled. As one of my clients commented…’He does PROPER magic!

Malcolm’s Roadshow

My fun-filled 2 hour show is also suitable for all ages and is a great way to relieve the pressure on you! I can take control of the party and make sure the children have a wonderful time from start to finish. This show also gets the children fully involved, has wonderful magic tricks and balloon modelling. The birthday boy or girls gets a special balloon model and all the guests take home a balloon of their own. We also play games and have a wonderful party disco. This is my most popular show! You take care of the food and the venue – I will cover everything else.

Example of a typical running order for a party from 11am – 1pm:

11.00 – Background music playing whilst children arrive so we can get them settled and ready for the show. I will be there to ensure they are welcomed and settled down.

11.10 -12.00 – Magic Show – The fun begins!

12.00 – 12.20 – Party food & birthday cake. I will be mixing and mingling with the children as they’re eating – making sure things are running smoothly and making balloons at the same time. During this break we will be singing ‘Happy Birthday’. I have the birthday music for this so will organise that for you.

12.20 – 1.00 – Party dances, competitions, games and a disco finale.

1.00 – Children leave with a balloon model.

Malcolm’s 90 Minute Children's Show

A 90 minute show which includes all of the items in Option 2 but without a break for food. You would then serve the children their party food for the last half hour of the party. Typically, I would finish with the birthday cake and the guests singing ‘Happy Birthday’. You could then cut up the cake ready for the children to take home whilst everyone is eating.

Having been inspired by the amazing Paul Daniels, I started performing magic for my friends at senior school and there was nothing else I ever wanted to do! I left school and began working straight away as a magician, touring around the country with my illusion act and working at holiday parks and leisure centres all over the country.

Since those early days, I have provided quality entertainment for No 11 Downing Street, P&O Cruise ships Oriana, Aurora, Ventura, Oceana, Azura & the new flagship, Britannia! I have worked for Channel 4, Breakfast TV, Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures, Fishers Farm Park, Goodwood Racecourse, HMS Nelson, British Telecom, Hilton Park Lane, Landmark, Dorchester & De Vere Hotels. I have entertained at my own theatre shows in West Sussex and Hampshire and have worked with some great names in show business, including Bob Monkhouse, Tom O’Connor, Les Dennis, Johnny Vaughan, Chris Evans & Denise Van Outen. Supermodel Natalia Vodianova was so impressed when I performed at her eldest son’s birthday party, she asked me to travel to Paris to entertain again!

I have Public Liability Insurance and up to date DBS and am a member of the Magic Circle and Equity. With 30 years of experience and performing an average of 350 shows a year, I am a truly reliable professional.
